Dr. Chris Sass
Professional Biography
Chris Sass is an Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Landscape Architecture and holds an appointment in the Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences program, advising students and serving on the program’s Steering Committee. In addition, he is one of the three co-leads of the University of Kentucky’s working group the Urban Forest Initiative. He teaches courses ranging from LA Design Studios (specializing in site analysis and ecology), Water Management in the Urban Environment, and Urban Forestry Design and Function. He also teaches and coordinates Professional Development courses for Landscape Architecture. His research interests include fluvial geomorphology, urban forest, and social equity to greenspace.
