Narrative

When I found a picture of the red leaves of the maple tree in a textbook in elementary school I asked myself, " Why do the leaves turn red on this tree?" My family is from the Fujian province of southeast China, where the climate is subtropical and the trees have broadleaves and are evergreen. During the first year of being at the University of Kentucky for my studies, I was shocked to see the amazing changes in tree color when fall arrived, especially the red maple.
