Narrative

This tree is important to me because I spend most of my time in the University of Kentucky's science buildings and it is located directly outside of the new Academic Science Building. I am an advocate for conservation and preservation of the natural environment that we live in, so seeing that care was taken to ensure this tree's survival during construction of the new building means a great deal to me. That the health of the tree was not compromised for urban development is a step in the right direction for UK's urban forested region.
