Narrative

This tree is important to us because it adds to the diversity of tree species.Too often, including on campus people plant one type of plant or tree due to aesthetic preference. This can leave plant life genetically vulnerable to diseases or pests they have no built immunity for. The Catalpa is important both for its aesthetic beauty, and the survival of its self and other trees.
