Narrative

Keirsten: When I was a kid I named a tree in my backyard Merideth. I used to climb her all the time and the branches were thick enough to support me and my little brother. One day my brother took one of his tobacco sticks that he uses as a sword and knocked all the bark off. The tree slowly started dying and it broke my heart because I loved that tree so much. Within a month the tree died and dad cut it down to use for firewood for the backyard. I watched my favorite tree do up in flames and disappear into the night sky.

Erica: Growing up my family was constantly busy. With three kids we each had our own schedules between dance, baseball, school and student council meeting we didn't always get to spend much time together. On weekends we made family time by going on walks at local state parks. Spending weekends surrounded by trees and nature was a great way to de-stress and gain valuable family time.
