Narrative

This tree is my favorite. My tree is a red maple, or Acer rubrum. It has brown, lined bark. For most of the year its leaves are green but later in fall will turn a bright red. My tree is 45 feet tall. I like this tree because I grew up with it. This was the first tree I learned to climb, and I got stuck in it more than once. In the fall when the leaves started falling off the trees, I would make leaf piles underneath the tree and jump from it into them. This tree saves money and energy from my house. It has a broad amount of foliage so that it provides shade in the summer, and lets sun in during the winter when the branches are bare. The tree also stops rainwater. When it rains it slows down the raindrops so that the rain doesn't carry the soil away. The grass tends to die there so this saves the grass. I decided these are important because they benefit my family. I have always liked tree and it benefits my family too.
