Lawson and dogwood
> In the front left of my front yard
My tree is a flowering dogwood (Cornus florida). In the fall, the leaves are reddish yellow and they cover my yard when the seasons change. The bark of the tree is a mix of brown and grey. Sometimes I see the shells of insects and bugs on the tree's trunk and branches. Once I saw a bird's nest in the tree and a baby bird was living there. My mom, brother, and I watched the baby bird learn how to fly. This tree is my favorite because it is a fun tree to climb because it is big and its branches and very sturdy. The branches are in a spiraling pattern from the trunk of the tree, so it's easier to climb. The tree is in the front left of my front yard. There was another tree next to it but it got struck by lightning and fell on my mom's car and crushed the car. There is a ditch now where that tree used to be.
