Narrative

The red maple tree (Acer rubrum) is one of the most popular shade trees in the eastern United States. It is known for its red leaves that it gets in the fall. These trees are medium size. The bark of the red maple is rough. The leaves turn red in the fall and green in the spring and summer. I really like this tree because of its colors. I like the tree in the fall the most because the leaves turn red and that is my favorite color. Also I like how it has sturdy branches so you climb up the tree. It is not very tall like I said but it is hard to climb sometimes because it has lots of leaves. With all the leaves it provides shade. The shade reduces the cooling energy. Also they provide wildlife. I like how the tree is safe enough that birds will build nests. Usually they are very cool birds like cardinals and blue jays. So that is another reasons why I like this tree: because I like to look at birds and to hear the birds chirping. I think the red maple can help people in many ways. First, (this was a surprise to me) they make you happy. It is scientifically proven and it makes you feel better, also scientifically proven. It can save you money too, which was a shock. The shade that they produce can help you with your air conditioning bill. It lets less heat come to your house. And finally red maple trees give you lots of wildlife, which is good if you like animals.
