Narrative

The tree we picked was a flowering dogwood. We picked this because it is a smaller tree and needs more help. The tree was just planted 1 year ago. The tree adds beauty to the school. The tree will grow into a large and mature tree. Right now, this tree is flowering. It has beautiful white blossoms. The blossoms have four petals each. There is a legend about the dogwood. On the blossoms there are little pinches on the outer edge of the petals that represent Jesus' nails. In the center of the blossom there is a cluster that represents the crown of thorns that was on Jesus' head. When the clusters turn red that represents the blood Jesus shed for us. We think this is a good tree to have by a Catholic school.
